Welcome to our Christmas party night and what better way to celebrate than a Christmas Workshop. We always enjoy a workshop and over the years we have made so many beautiful and unusual things, tonight we will be making a Christmas Wire Basket, and Elizabeth Saunders has come to guide us through to what will surely be something most unusual, what a clever lady she is, you wouldn’t believe what can be done with a pan scourer!
With the festive season almost upon us, there is no shortage of beautifully decorated
places to visit for Christmas; Almost on our doorstep are Abbeywood Gardens they will have a special Christmas Fayre Weekend on Friday 8th & Sat.9th December from 10am – 11pm. Norton Priory have already had their Christmas Fayre on the 26th November but you could always go to the Christmas Carol Singing in the Undercroft, this will take place on 10th December. 4pm–6pm. Tickets £5. 01928569895. That should be beautiful. Most of the Garden Centres are very good to spend a few hours window shopping. Dobbies at Speke is a very good day out, and if you should venture there on a Tuesday, which is Pensioners Day in the Restaurant, you can get ‘2 for the price of 1’ at lunchtime, there is normally an amazing array of Christmas goods on show, if you are a holder of a bus pass the bus should take you straight there, so that could be a good day out. To quote the Christmas Carol “It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas” Dunham Massey NT will have from 1–23rd December 4.45-8.00pm A magical, mystical, illuminated trail, as the gardens of Dunham Massey become a wonderland of winter lights. Awww! Lastly, Speke Hall. NT. Tranquil Festive Fridays, From24th November for 3weeks enjoy a relaxed atmosphere while soaking up a traditional Victorian Christmas. Breathe in the smell of Christmas coming from the traditional handmade garlands hung throughout the hall, shop for Christmas presents and enjoy some delicious seasonal treats in the restaurant, also Speke Hall, Victorian Christmas Weekends, Festive fun at Speke! Visit the Hall, decorated for a traditional Victorian Christmas, enjoy lots of family activities including Christmas trails and sugar mice making, listen to carols and pay a call on Father Christmas.
