Visit to RHS Bridgewater Garden at Worsley, Salford

We plan to leave Frodsham Community Centre at 9.30am and travel by Anthony’s coach to RHS Bridgewater, aiming to arrive at about 10:15am, depending on the traffic.

On arrival we will have the opportunity to stroll round the different areas of the garden, which was only opened last year. Bridgewater is a very spacious garden with a welcome garden, a kitchen garden, a walled garden and a paradise garden to name but a few. It will also be interesting to see the areas that are currently under development. The garden is mainly on the flat with a lot of seats for recharging your batteries.

For those of you who can’t resist buying plants, there is a plant centre and also a garden-themed gift shop. Although there are two cafes, please bring your own lunch and drinks as there tends to be long queues for refreshments. We will leave Bridgewater at 2:30pm, arriving back at about 3:15pm.

Mobility scooters and wheelchairs are available but must be booked in advance. A deposit of £5 is payable on arrival.

The cost per person for the coach (both members and visitors) is £14. Entry to the gardens is free as the Gardening Club is an affiliated member of the RHS. On arrival at Bridgewater the coach will stop in the ‘drop-off’ area outside the Welcome Building. A member of staff will welcome the group at the coach and guide us through the group entrance. The coach will collect the group at 2:30pm outside the Welcome Building in the ‘pick-up’ area.
