Hello and welcome to the meeting.  As is our custom we have a very experienced gardener with us tonight to talk about Perennials for autumn and winter.  Sue Beesley who owns and manages Bluebell Cottages Nursery specialises in Perennial plants and if anyone knows their business then Sue most certainly does, she is a Gold medal winner at Chatsworth, Tatton Park and a past winner of Gardeners World Gardener of the Year, and her garden is right on our own doorstep just a few miles down the road. How lucky are we!

Normally each November we have a workshop for Christmas, this year we plan the workshop for next Easter, so for our Christmas meeting next month Vivienne Bown from Chester Zoo will be here to tell us what to look for in the perfect Orchid, Will you be buying an Orchid for a relative or friend for Christmas? Well Vivienne will help you find the perfect gift.

We have a fabulous new flower shop in Frodsham, have you noticed Jenny Penny’s ‘Flowers’? it’s right by the traffic lights, well how would you like to receive 10% discount every time you shop there, yes!, + just show your membership card to get your discount. It really is such a welcoming shop and there is always a beautiful window display, perhaps the best in Frodsham! and not just flowers, but different unusual gifts for birthdays and other celebrations and of course, don’t forget the beautiful flowers.
